Arcada Student Union – ASK monitors every students rights at Arcada on a local and a
national level as well.

ASK monitors Your rights locally, at Arcada, through representatives in different
administrative bodies in the school. ASK has representatives in the board of Arcada, the
departemental councils, the study allowance committee etc. The voice of the students is
made clear by the student representatives.

ASK monitors national student related issues and discussions around subjects that involve
students. ASK makes the voice of the student heard nationally through commentaries to
ministries, commentaries to Union of Students in Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences
– SAMOK and commentaries on workgroups, guidelines and manifests etc.

ASK is visible in the media on current issues with LTEs (letters to the editor) and on
the radio.

Student issues are divided into three main areas, social affairs, political affairs and
